PONTE VEDRA, Fla.
Advanced Disposal CEO Richard Burke was presented with the Job Creator Award by Governor Rick Scott last week as part of Enterprise Florida’s board meeting. The company was recognized for its continued success and growing its Florida employee base to 855 including 128 corporate employees.
Following the company tripling in size at the end of 2012, Advanced Disposal needed to upsize its headquarters. After evaluating incentive packages from other cities, Advanced Disposal selected Northeast Florida for its headquarters and worked with Enterprise Florida, St. Johns County and JAXUSA.
“On behalf of the 855 Advanced Disposal employees who call Florida home, we are humbled by this honor and proud to be part of growing jobs in Florida,” said Burke. “Thank you to Governor Scott, Enterprise Florida and our other partners who have played a part in our success.”
In 2013, Advanced Disposal exceeded the incentive requirements and added 103 new jobs for an average wage of $133,000.?
