AUGUSTA, Ga.
Advanced Disposal, an integrated environmental services company, will begin a new recycling initiative in Augusta on Monday.? The company has partnered with the city and Recycling Perks to establish an incentive-based program, which will offer rewards to residents who participate in the curbside recycling program. To build buzz for the program, specially designed recycling trucks will be hitting streets Monday.?
Images of children span the length of the entire truck with messages such as, “I spy a cleaner Augusta” catching the eyes of kids and parents alike as they run routes through Augusta neighborhoods. Residents will be able to use their recycling rewards toward discounts on goods and services from local businesses including restaurants.?
“Advanced Disposal has worked hard to keep Augusta clean and green over the last 10 years,” said Kevin Rupinta, Advanced Disposal general manager. “We see our partnership with Recycling Perks, along with the unique truck designs, as a wonderful opportunity to increase the amount of recyclables collected, thus leading the way for an even greener Augusta.”
Advanced Disposal will provide Augusta residents with once a week curbside collection for garbage, recycle, yard waste and bulk items.
