Advanced Disposal, an integrated environmental services company, is pleased to announce the promotion of Dave Rettell as the east region landfill manager. In his new position, Rettell will oversee the operation and environmental compliance of landfills in 12 states.
“Dave has more than 22 years of experience in the waste industry,” said Advanced Disposal Vice President of Landfills Gerald Allen. “His industry knowledge and experience will ensure the efficiency, growth and environmental stewardship of our eastern region landfills.”
Rettell served 12 years as general manager of Arbor Hills Landfill in Michigan and one year at Hoosier Landfill in Indiana.? In that role, Rettell managed all operations, along with 29 employees, participated in governmental affairs, and oversaw all financials.
In 2011, Rettell was president of the Michigan Waste Industries Association.? He now serves as the association’s secretary and treasurer.? Dave and his wife, Shelly, have two children. Rettell is not only a committed employee, but is committed to competing in the Florida Ironman triathlon, which will be held in November.
