Eight "Recycling Only" Containers Placed Around Town For Everyone's Use, Saving City in Disposal Costs
Advanced Disposal Services, Inc., a regional integrated environmental services company, will begin placing “recycling only” containers around the city on Monday. These eight containers are for all residents to dispose of their recyclable items including cardboard, paper, plastic and aluminum, 24 hours a day, seven days a week at no cost.
“We encourage all of our residents to take advantage of the recycling containers and make it their New Year’s resolution to recycle,” said City Manager Denis Keveryn. “This comes at no additional cost to residents, and we expect it to save the city a significant amount in disposal costs each year since these items will no longer have to be disposed of at the landfill. Those savings will translate to the residents.”?
