Advanced Disposal Pitches in At Crystal Springs Clean Up to Celebrate 40th Anniversary of Earth Day
CRYSTAL SPRINGS, Miss.
Advanced Disposal, a regional integrated environmental services company, is celebrating this year’s 40th anniversary of Earth Day by sponsoring Keep Copiah County Beautiful Crystal Springs Cleanup taking place Saturday, April 10. Residents who participate in the Earth Day event will receive an Advanced Disposal T-shirt specially designed for Earth Day.
Crystal Springs residents and businesses are cleaning up the city – from their own homes, to the public streets and facilities, and everywhere in between. Advanced Disposal is providing two roll-off containers for the collection of non-hazardous waste so everyone can dispose of what they no longer want without any charge. The company is also placing event boxes throughout the city to collect garbage from the cleanup volunteers as they beautify their section of the city.
People can bring their garbage to either of the two roll-off containers, located behind First Baptist Church by the railroads, between 7 a.m. and noon.
“This is our way of saying thanks to our fellow community members on Earth Day,” said Derek Dale, municipal marketing and government affairs manager for the Jackson, Miss. Area. “We strive to make Copiah County cleaner and greener everyday, as evidenced by the cartoon frogs driving our garbage truck on our festive Earth Day T-shirts.”
